CLOUD COMPUTING

Cloud computing is essentially the online delivery of different computing services including analytics, intelligence, databases, storage and networking.

STREAMLINE YOUR IT SOLUTIONS

The goal of cloud computing is often to allow your company to grow faster while helping you lower your operating costs.

The adoption of cloud computing is crucial for any business, no matter the size. It will provide your company with the flexibility and agility needed to streamline growth. Cloud computing is a reliable way of storing yours and your clients’ data without needing to worry about its level of security. Most providers will have a strict set of policies and guidelines to ensure your data is protected against potential threats.

For any crisis situations where remote support is not an option, we can be on-site at most London locations within 30-45 minutes. We can also provide regular visits if required.

TYPES OF CLOUD HOSTING

Before you can decide which type of cloud computing will best suit your company, you need to decide what type of cloud architecture you will be using. There are three main types that are used: public, private and hybrid.

PUBLIC CLOUD

These clouds are owned by third party organisations or cloud service provider, meaning that all of the hardware, software and supporting infrastructure are all owned by the provider.

PRIVATE CLOUD

These clouds are independently owned by a single business or organisation. However, sometimes companies will ask third parties to host their private cloud.

HYBRID CLOUD

Hybrid clouds are a mixture of private and public clouds and are bound together by infrastructure that allows data to be shared easily between them. This type of cloud hosting gives you a lot of freedom and flexibility without having to compromise on security.

CLOUD AS A SERVICE OPTIONS

Once you have decided on your cloud hosting that would best benefit your company, you can decide on the type of cloud computing as a service you need. There are four main options:

INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE (IAAS)

This is the most basic of cloud computing. It allows you to rent the IT Infrastructure your company needs while operating on a pay as you go basis with your provider.

PLATFORM AS A SERVICE (PAAS)

This type of service is often used by developers who are looking to develop and launch a site. This allows them to not worry about the set-up of underlying infrastructures, networks or databases necessary for development.

SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SAAS)

In this type of service, you are licensed software on a subscription basis by a cloud service provider. This allows the user to have full access and capability to the services they need without having to worry about any of the backend, infrastructure management or maintenance.

SERVERLESS COMPUTING

This is similar to PaaS as it is a way of providing backend services and only paying for what you use. The pricing is based on the amount you use rather than a fixed rate each month or term.
